The Principles of Bangalore as Soft Law for the Design of a Global Normativity of Judicial Integrity

Abstract

The Bangalore Charter of Principles is a United Nations document that seeks to create a universal standard of judicial integrity. Based on this document, the present work intends to examine the genesis of that Letter, the axiological content conceived therein and, especially, to answer if a norm of a soft law nature was a correct option to achieve the purpose for which it was created.
